If you are looking to switch on solar elctricity generation then currently you are thinking to buy a new solar panel. Before buying new solar panel you must knoow two things -> basic working of solar panel, wattage consuption knowladge
But promise me, Dont confuse yourself with Ongrid system, Offgrid system, Solar inverter, simple inverter, solar PCU.
These are nothing for you, right now Because you are just starting, Right !
I will explain you about those terms after words.
Basic Working Of Solar Panel
For fully working solar connection you must need to buy only two thing first one is SOLAR PANEL and second one is SOLAR INVERTER. But wait you must heard about Battery, it is not necessory, it is upto you if want your equipment to be run even after the Sun Light (eg. at night, at rainy day etc.) then only the battery is required, otherwise not.
Here i will tell you minimum cost solar output system.
You should know that we can not directly use electricity from the solar panel because output carrent of Solar Panel is DC Current and your home equipment are run on AC Current. That's why Inverter is must to convert solar DC current to AC Current.
Wattage Consuption
We assume that the solar energy comes to you is only for Six hours a day and You have a 300W solar panel (45Voc and 8.5A current) and 400va Inverter with 80% efficiency (different menufacturer can have different efficiency).
Specification Of Solar Panel
*Every solar solar panel has efficiency of 50% output with inverter (without MPPT) means if you have 300W panel then it will output you Only 150W.
*But you can increase the efficiency to 70-75% by using inverter with MPPT(RMPPT). Means you can use upto 220W out of 300W.
Note: there are two types of panel Poly Type(cheaper than mono type) Panel and Mono Type(costly than poly type) Panel.
Note: 300W solar panel means that is of 2000W panel, since the poly type panel has efficiency of 15% thats why manufacturer claim this panel as 300W (=15% of 2000W).
Note: if this same size (2sqr meter dimensional area) panel will be of mono type with 2000W then it would have been claimed 400W by manufacturer as the efficiency of mono type panel is 20%.
Note: so if some one tell you that mono type panel is more efficient (20%) than the poly type(15%) panel, then dont be confuse to switching this to mono type panel because this issue already resolved by manufecturer by showing its wattage power according to its efficiency.
Note: Means if you have 300W panel of any type (mono or poly), then it means it has max capicity of 300W with both condition.
CALCULATION
with simple inverter and regular day time with 50% efficiency your 300W panel will produce 150W per Hours
generally you have 6 Hours sun light means it will generate 6*150=900W total in day time
Means you can use maximum load of 150W for 6 Hours.
NOTE:but remeber one thing this solar energy have to use at same time, means using this panel you can use maximum 15 LED bulb with 10W power for 6 Hours, but if you reduce the LED bulb to 1 , after that also you can use it for 6 Hours because after 6 Hours there will be no Sun Ligh.
NOTE: At above condition your solar panel generating 900W power during 6 Hours. if you will use 15 LED bulb of 10W it means it would have used all power (15*10=150W/Hours).
But if you will use only 1 LED bulb of 10W then it will use only 1*10=10W/Hours and 6*10=60W during 6 Hours and remaining power 900-60=840W would be wasted.
NOTE: If you store your solar energy to battery then You can run 10W single LED bulb for = 10.5Hours other wise it will be run for 6 Hours only (because there will be not enough Sun Light after 6 Hours).
